I say Solicitude You Say Solitude  A cup of steamy aromatic Sumatra ia a little bit of heaven on earth, Sometimes, just the feeling of cradling the cup in my hands for warmth, makes everything better,.. I was taught that negativity grows exponentially. That's why I try stay positive most of the time. It is in private that I allow my doubts t.o entertain any space in my brain for short spurts of time. The hound agrees and I watch him turn and lumber back into my bedroom. He makes simple and beautiful t.o enjoy his joy of life. Butt wiggles and tail wags always chase my troubles away. His happiness is just a state of being, with no outside source. except for his love of people. The hound never meets a stranger. How many people treat all humans that way? Not many that I have known. And, even he feels a bit lonely, since humans are distancing from him too. Hound do.gs and social distancing are a foreign concept. My Word of the Day comes t.o my inbox...Solicitude... How ironic? Solicitude is t.o care for someone or something. Take out the "ci", and you have solitude "My solicitude, for my Sumatra and that hound, is undeniable" Isn't it funny how just a few letters make all the difference? Try that with every negative word you use today. Change it around, at differently... Great word. I love Blue Sunatra. Which I used to get the whole beans in San Luis Obispo, CA. None around here, so I make do with other types. No dogs , but I have a cat who mostly keeps me copany and makes me smile. At the momment, she is running around doing the Crazy Cat thing. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

Lovely photo of the dog - sums up how I feel until I've had a coffee. A nice positive post - you'r right we should keep in mind to be more positive. Do ourselves & others a favour. My sister had a dog like your hound - no concept of stranger. She felt that any person or dog was her friend, & treated them as such. Had to hold her back a bit if they were very old, people or dogs. Didn't always appreciate her bounding up to them, full of energy.

I have to state a formal disagreement. This works and it works great. Though I have come to the understanding that it is a patch not an update. I know its harder and sometimes wrought with pain we don't want to transverse. The permanent solution is to find the root of the doubt. To dive in and pull it out and examine it. Accept that it is something that you carry, find what thoughts allowed it root to grow, and trace every root till it shows. Then accept it. Every flaw, every perfection, every problem every gain, accept that its a part of who you are. Then forgive it. Forgive it for being a part of you, for the pain and suffering and everything its done to you. Then thank it. Thank it for the time that it was with you, for how it in some way it made you better. Then let it go. Its the hardest part to walk away from the pain forgiven and thanked to let go as its job is done. We cling to our flaws. Its hard to let them just be done. P.S. I'm still traveling this journey of your mind just taking my time and enjoying it the way you intended for me. Thank you for paving the way so thoroughly. I'm not sure yet if I'll be worthy.

Really nice post. Where would we be without coffee and our wonderful friends. I love my dogs so much. I love this post.
