lost skill...

So, I was just pondering something..
What has happend the skill of the "flirt"?
In this new age of cyberdating.. do people just not know how flirt, or are they just so accustom to the quick, fast and ferocious?

I just find very sad in fact that the act of flirting has been lost.
I like the tease.
I like the giggles.
I like the anticipation.

Why is flirting such an "old school" way?
I don't understand why everyone is in such a hurry show and tell?
Why don't we just talk, and flirt?
Why are so many in such a hurry show all the "treasures" and not wait for the surprise that is wrapped up in that package?

I am just old school,,but I refuse give up on the old fashion "flirt"
I was fun in my 20's and I still find as fun in my 50's.

So boys....Flirt ON!!

sadly true, and I'm way out of practice I have to admit. I was tempted to hit the "flirt" button for giggles but resisted

Reminds me, my submissive wife told me her favorite pickup line was a guy walking up to her in a bar and whispering in her ear, "get your coat"

I still flirt, even at my age, and find some ladies enjoy the attention. Anything that makes us feel good can't be all bad, and it sometimes leads to play...

Flirting is part of the chase, the hunt. It is a first indicator of interest or disinterest. The fun of hearing the words "no thank you" from their lips but seeing the twinkle of mischief in their eyes. Sadly the younger people do not want to do that type of dance any longer.

Yes, I'm very out of practice.

There was a lady where I worked who was a terrible flirt, & by terrible, I mean
great of course. We used to flirt a lot, it was very enjoyable & I think quite a few
people thought we were having an affair. We weren't.

She was a married lady & although she used to flirt like crazy I understood it was
just that flirting. If she hadn't been married then I think we might have got together.
Ah well what might have been.

I totally agree with you. Flirting is a lost art and I think it has to do with today’s society. Anticipation is fun and sexy but I think it is lost on today’s “ instant gratification” society.

I like the way you think hush.

Some people are born flirters and others are not.

I have noticed an almost direct correlation between one's age and their amount of patience. Some would argue this speedy attitude improves productivity, I wonder...

I love a little mental back and forth. I am old school too, I do not text ever. I want to hear your voice when we speak. So much is lost through typing as it is. I am very happily taken and I will always be a flirt. It puts me in a great fucking mood to be honest.

I will blow your mind like a verbal John Wilkes Booth

I agree with you completely, My lady, so often the subtleties of the flirt are wasted on those expecting the coarse approach so prevalent in here. Dare I say it takes a little maturity, a touch of experience, to be truly effective? I for one shall continue for as long as possible *bows and grins* who knows when the next opportunity will appear?

My Words Are A way Into Your Mind...Be brave And let Me In.

Flirting is not dead. Never will be. It's such a good non-committal way of gauging interest, of entertaining, of basic human back-and forth repartee. We always do it with bartenders and wait staff. The man here is a natural flirt and flirt-addict but the woman here is a more successful one. But that's the nature of the man and woman dance.

Flirting is not so old school. Humans instinctively do it without even thinking about it.

Why flirt when you can establish a complete on line relationship in 30 seconds?
