Neil Diamond

Neil Diamond wrote in nis song "I am I said"

L.A.'s fine, the sun shines most the time
And the feeling is "lay back"
Palm trees grow and rents are low
But you know I keep thinkin' about
Making my way back

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Well I'm New York City born and raised
But nowadays, I'm lost between two shores
L.A.'s fine, but it ain't home
New York's home, but it ain't mine no more

It is the same for liberals and conservatives.
I feel the same way.
I'm a NYS transport to FL.
I'm not sorry I made the transition.

NYS is a liberal hell hole. I hope it changes someday.

Comments welcome.

Neil Diamond is talking about separation anxiety from locating from one liberal enclave to another.
On the other hand, I'm perfectly content with my choice.
I return north for the summer to relive the fond memories.
When I've had my fill, I return to the "Free State of Florida".

Not what ND was lamenting in that song. Not even close. So, the comparison is bogus. Now, your reasons for relocation are yours, but do not compare them to what you think ND was meaning as from his own mouth, it is not!

OK, since you apparently know everything, what was the lament that Mr. Diamond singing about? Please back up your assertions with facts!

Neil Diamond's song "I Am... I Said" has multiple meanings, including:

Expressing thoughts
Diamond wrote the song during a period of introspection to express his identity, dreams, and aspirations.

Dislocation
The song also references the sense of dislocation Diamond felt when he moved from New York City to Los Angeles.

Diamond wrote the song over four months and considered it one of his most difficult songs to complete. The song's complex rhyme scheme made it challenging to finish. It earned Diamond his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male.

His own words. I don't speculate or bull shit! I do the research and report. This is the condensed version. Nothing about liberals or magas or conservatives. Nothing political. You, and chuckles has, put that connotation on it, but it isn't there........

Well, it seems I've struck a chord with Ds_seek_sub_slav and Peter8xxx.
I never claimed to be just reiterating Neil Diamond's meaning.
Rather, I have used his lyrics to demonstrate my personal experience.
Music, like great art is subject to interpretation by the observer.
A Picasso or a Rembrandt say different things to different people.
My critics are so immersed in their own prejudices, that they are unable or unwilling to accept anything else. So sorry for your narrow mindedness.
Your still welcome to comment on my blog. I don’t ban commenters as you do.

He was suffering with depression, not a surprise.
Anyone would be when relocating to California as a Democrat.
    Especially when Reagan was governor.

I'm not surprised, one of the lemmings censored my comment.

Another censored comment. Both I surmise by Ds_seek_sub_slav.
He is a coward, but I won't ban him from my blog. That's a liberal thing.

Perhaps you should direct your desire to have assertions backed up with facts to the blogger as he never does,… only spewing nonsense to foment discord,… SAD 😢
