The Demonrats are desperate, once again. And very very worried, as well they should be. They hate the fact that no one believes their BS, except the Kool aid guzzlers. Their most fervent wish is a civil war while they remain in power so they can mobilize the National Guard and suspend the election indefinitely to remain in power. All in the name of preserving their brand of " Democracy". The biggest worry right now is the number of their own who have ' woke up ' and like rats are jumping a sinking ship. At 12, I kinda had no clue! But I did the research and learned after the fact. It sounded like you won't and can't! Yes, Kennedy put US advisors in SVN (not troops). My father had just gotten out of OCS in the 82nd airborne. He didn't want to go be an advisor. He was able to get an honorable discharge (very long story) instead of go. Johnson expanded the police action but only to SVN and NVN. However, Johnson couldn't get out of VN, so he decided not to run for a second term. Enter Nixon - A REPUB! -and he expanded the police action to include other countries covertly and overtly along in VN. The number of troops ballooned under Nixon. Then, he got us out! An actual campaign promise he kept!!! But did other things that ended his career.

Ahhh.... what two wars did the dems start? Plus, under trumpee bear, he created and made Biden execute a highly flawed exit plan from Afghanistan that killed 17 soldiers much less numerous civilians. All on trumpee bear's hands! What other small wars or civil wars did the dems start? The last two wars the US was involved in were started by repubs (Cheney and W). Not sure where you are getting your data. I know of zero dems calling for WWIII. In fact dems are trying to stop Israel and Russia from aggression. During his campaign, Nixon’s pledge for "peace with honor" was a hollow promise. On April 28, 1970, he escalated the war by attacking Cambodia, and in 1971, he did the same in Laos. I will concede that Lyndon Johnson escalated the war before Nixon, but not all Democrats supported his actions. Even his Vice President, Hubert Humphrey, strongly opposed Johnson’s war strategy. However, a Vice President can only advise against actions; they cannot directly counter them. These divisions would manifest themselves four years later when Democrat George McGovern, running on a peace platform and with strong support from many of the same activists who had backed Eugene McCarthy and Robert Kennedy, won the Democratic nomination. Many members of the anti-communist wing of the party, particularly in labor, turned their backs on him, which helped pave the way for Nixon's historic landslide re-election in 1972. The war did not end until 1973. One could argue that both parties mishandled the Vietnam War, but claiming that Democrats alone are responsible for sending you there is simply incorrect fantasy.
