Of Top/Bottom vs Dom/Sub This is a topic that I still some people having a bit of difficulty understanding and grasping. It is very understandable for beginners (although I have seen seemingly experienced folks too) to often confuse the concepts of Top and Dom, and bottom and sub since in many cases and instances, for practical purposes, they may be mean the same, but each of these terms are fundamentally different. I have seen these terms being addressed in the past by some of the most prolific bloggers here, most of them explaining this differences very well so I didn't think I could explain it that much better. However, very recently, I ran across this image while surfing online. I feel that it breaks down these concepts quite clear and well so I figured I'd share it. Great visual Buttt...it leaves out the concept that topping or bottoming is more than sex.. It's more like the whole general dynamic between the couple. I bottom sexually...but i love being passive....I luv men hitting on me,asking me out,I love a man being active... So it's more than just a sexual position It honestly is closer to a Dom/ sub...both have a role..you have to be one or the other for this to work...and you work as a team..you feed off each other's energies and give off vibes Sex is just sex.. I think there is a lot more to being a top or bottom than inserting a penis

Mani I disagree...the pic clearly shows a sexual position.. Just by adding the word " action" doesn't really explain a relationship/ dynamic between top and bottom.. To Joe and Jane vanilla that visual just comes off as sexual.. And sure it's good enough to explain what guys do sexually.. I think it fails a bit when it suggest tops,bottoms are physical and dom,sub is psychological
