Just read there is a petition signed by around 200,000 signature for Denmark to buy California from the U.S. Interesting idea but I think the people who put out the petition might want to think hard about the idea. Trump has his eye on Greenland. Would it be surprising if he saw this as a real estate deal?
What if Trump said OK? I have an idea. We will trade you California for Greenland. Now there might have to be some agreements in the contract regarding U.S. bases in California but I am sure something could be worked out. Would not be surprised if Trump saw it as a Win\Win for him.
Something I didn't mention. Disneyland would be come Hans Christian Andersenland.

The Danes will have more trouble teaching them Danish. That would me comical. Most can't speak English well.
I heard today a GOP senator proposed a bill to "make it ok" for the US to acquire Greenland and rename it Red White and Blueland. WTF??
I just came across that. Things are getting too funny.
Maybe if the U.S. buys Greenland we can pay Denmark in the pennies we want to discontinue. lol
@Callie_Exploring As Sheldon used to say on the Big Bang Theory, Fun Fact - Canada stopped minting pennies in 2012. It costs about 3 cents to make a cent. Kind of silly. Other countries have stopped producing similar equivalents. It doesn't affect credit card purchases, only cash transactions with rounding to the nearest nickel. (I can see how that might be problematic for some, however.)
