How are you today?
Long, hot day here. Too many errands in 110o heat. The asphalt parking lots radiate heat like an oven.
I am so thankful for cool air conditioning.
Late this afternoon I saw a pair of young quail walking along the sidewalk by the koi pond. I paused to watch. They strutted about, then visited the pond for a drink. Finally one hopped up on a rock and fluttered its feathers. I think it proclaimed the pond as its own.
I wonder how the frogs will take the news.

HEY congrats. Saw another hummingbird at the, relatively new, feeder a bit ago. So MAYBE it's starting to work.
Hello Pony Luv, it's going to be another warm day here in Sin City. Add to that, it's a training day at the office with us getting in full protective gear with respirators, not a fun time I can tell ya. Oh well, the things we do to get paid, right n

It is really hot there and I hope it cools down soon for you all. The quails sound like fun to watch as they proclaim the pond. The frogs will just have to share huh.

The weather guy proclaimed this summer as an El Nino summer months back. I was hoping he was wrong ....
El Niño event developed during early summer 2026 and is steadily intensifying across the equatorial Pacific Ocean. According to updates from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the World Meteorological Organization, this moderate-to-strong El Niño is projected to continue growing through the fall and winter, driving above-normal temperatures globally.

Our heatwaves, and probably our summer, are over. It's cool and there's even rain here.

Has been hot humid and storms here. Almost every day in upper 90's with humidity that can almost cut with a knife. Glad as a whole these type days are rare.
The humidity makes heat so much worse!!
