Hello My Sweet Lovers,
How are you?
This weekend in America, we will celebrate Labor Day.
Labor Day is a public holiday that honors the labor movement and the contributions of workers.
Soooooo it is meant to be an extra day off for lucky workers?
As a kid growing up, my family and extended family often worked weekends. Cowboy and I worked weekends until he retired. So Labor Day was not something we necessarily celebrated unless it just happened to fall on a weekend off. I support the idea - I just rarely saw the 'extra' day off benefit myself or my family, LOL.
What we did do on a regular basis was save our pennies. The key to being able to retire was by saving as much money as possible. I can be ridiculously frugal. Cowboy always emptied his pockets of change after work which I sorted and stashed in little banks.
I still have piggy banks around my house. A couple are even in the shape of pigs and they all have coins in them
Now if I had a bank like this one, I bet Cowboy would have sorted his coins directly in to the nice blue lady, hehehe
Have a phenomenal day!!

AH YES, the ole "triple time" for holidays!
That's a sexy Smurf bank for sure! Only question is: Does it have separate slots for varying coin amounts? 😉
I saw just the one booty slot
Hugs!!
We don't have a Labour Day here unfortunately.
Bummer. You can celebrate the day anyway. Every day is a good day to party
Hugs!!

Labour Day is a holiday here too. It is often treated as the unofficial end of summer and the start of back to school.
Hope the weekend’s a good one for you.
When I was a kid, school started after Labor Day. Now most schools seem to start a week or two before Labor Day. I think the kids would prefer a little more vacation
Hugs!!
That is a superb ladybank. Sweet sculpture, and so erotic. Will you do that position for me?
If only I was blue
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 --- Fear not! I am color-blind...
Have a farm/ranch there are not many days off. Personal choice for profession. Hugs
True!! The animals need care every day
Hugs!!
There are a lot of workers that do not get Labor Day off. Shout out to hospital workers, plus police, fire, EMS, retail and restaurant workers!
We knew we would always work weekends. I didn't mind. Helping babies be born was a blessing.
Hugs!!
Frugality is good! Sometimes I think I was a little too frugal when trying to save for retirement, but I guess I didn't know or realize at the time how much my pension would end up being.
Pensions seem far away and unreal until you get there
Hugs!!
That's an interesting bank you shared with us. We put our coins into an old mayonnaise jar and recently I took it in and got $32 from all the change in it. We had lunch on that change while we were packing some stuff up.
I hope you both enjoy a wonderful Labor Day weekend. ?
Hugs
