Well lets see. Biden is the President and the one responsible for all of the problems in America right now. So try getting your facts right and maybe ask this in 4 years.
Thank you for your considered response. As far as I understand, the promises relating to cheap gas and groceries reassure us that prices will drop within weeks of the incumbent taking office. It seems therefore that we won't need to wait 4 years.
Also, as far as I can see, I was merely reporting facts as they were reported by other recognised authorities, to the best of my understanding, those facts were correct at the time of publishing.
In addition to those facts, it is quite clear that the US economy is presently booming and that unemployment is as good as it has been for years. Further, wages are outstripping inflation by some way, and fuel and other cost of living increases are a direct result of wars perpetrated by Putin and Netanyahu. Those are also facts which are clear and are proven to be correct.
Please don't feel the need to rush back, I won't be so polite next time.
@lindoboy100 And the one fact you fail to address is the immigration problem caused by Biden just opening the border and allowing over 11 million immigrants in to the country and NOT deporting the over 1.4 million that have been ordered deported and then just released into the country to get free food and housing. There is more to inflation besides just the wars going on over there. American citizens pay the price for all of this, not you.
@SNGLDADLKNFORFUN
Ye just couldnae hawd yer wheesht, could ye??
Yours is a country of immigrants, invaders, non-indigenous people. Those heinous immigrants do not eat pets. Those heinous immigrants do all the shit jobs you privileged people don't want to do, because clearly you're above it.
What level of stupidity does it require to appreciate that without immigration no country expands it's economy?
But apart from the principles, your facts are flawed, like everything else you're prepared to use to hide your racist bigotry behind.
If you have something reasonable to say beyond your narrow minded dogma of the far right, please do feel free to share it. In a reasonable, factual way. Those thoughts are always welcome.
Otherwise, if all you're going to spout are ridiculous right wing conspiracies that you heard on Fox or Newsmax, dinnae bother laddie.
@lindoboy100 Sounds like you know everything about everything. Immigration is fine when done legally, but not just open borders and raising taxes and taking away things from citizens to house and feed them. How about we dump 30 million of unknowns without any way to find out who they are into your country. Since all you do is spew out the Left wing propaganda about being racist I guess you would love it. Good luck to all of you in the UK.
@SNGLDADLKNFORFUN
I don't know everything, far from it, and even more so, I never professed to know everything. What I do know though is that I take my news from reliable sources, I read a few of them to gain a balance. There's a word that will rarely be spoken with you in mind.
The whole premise of restricted migration is based on racist isolationism. Imagine a world with no borders, how difficult would that be. Really, think about it.
@SNGLDADLKNFORFUN
I deleted your last comment because the site wouldn't allow me to respond in the terms I wanted to, which I assure you were completely benign. But I won't permit a comment to which my response is censored.
I'm reasonable, are you?
As a German satirist recently said: If I am a pig and dissatisfied with my farmer, do I choose the butcher?
The latest developments show: Pigs are apparently smarter than humans
Aye, pigs indeed. Their lust for gorging at the trough is up, humanity is in deep trouble!
I never realized how profitable spreading Fear and Hate was! I need to be meaner.
To this day there are financiers in the world who retain the wealth they accrued from the WW2. Many of today's elites live by that very model. To me it's sickening that people voted for it and try with every means at their disposal to justify that choice.
Working hard for us people my ASS. Sorry but they don't do a thing for any of us. With the exception of Bill Gates and his ex wife, they really do support a lot of good things here. And one of them is going to be in the new Presidential cabinet and said recently look forward to harder times.
How much harder can it get for all of us, especially the Seniors and people that are some of the poorest in the nation.
I hope your Friday continues to treat you well..
I think the list of people and their returns following the result tell us all exactly who he is working hard for.
Seems though that people believe that the lie of cheaper fuel and groceries is far more important than the truths of loss of democracy, loss of rights, loss of health care, loss of jobs, loss of women's rights etc, etc.
It's interesting that the only person in the top ten whose wealth decreased over the last year was a European. Europe is clearly doomed!
Europe may already have been doomed without trump, though this result makes our demise all the more certain.
Arnault actually cosied up to his lordship the anointed one, so his loss is a bit of an outlier.
Brin/Page (=google) are expecting a bit of a backlash after his holiness claimed that google only ever showed bad news stories about him, so their jump in wealth was unexpected.
Zuckerberg is also in trouble with our dear lord because he didn't endorse and curtailed some of his activities for their falsehoods and incitement.
Musk invested somewhere between $130m to $200m which for a near $30bn return is sound business.
And this is before these people get awarded gazillions of US taxpayer money in contracts.
Aye, cheaper fuel and groceries, eh?
How much did Harrison Ford, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Beyonce and all the Kamal Ad actors get paid? Curious minds want to know.
Certainly not in the billions. Nor even 10s of millions. You're not really comparing apples with apples there. Also note that some of those billionaires listed didn't endorse trump.
Probably the same as Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, Joe Rogan, Caitlyn Jenner, Tucker Carlson and Buzz Aldrin!
@spunkycumfun
As I tried to explain - apples with apples.
Those mommas really must be wondering where all they're kids have gone, the basements sure are emptying, and fast!
@lindoboy100 One can lead a horse (or even a man) to the waters of reason but one can't force him to drink those waters.
@spunkycumfun
I had a somewhat different outcome in mind with the man and the water.
@lindoboy100 And here I was remembering those from the left are supposedly the ones against violence. Hmm.. Interesting. Oh wait. They also want to kill the unborn child. Silly me.
@iwant2lickuthere You're being ridiculous here. No one is promoting violence. And why you should connect the issue of wealth to abortion beggars belief.
@iwant2lickuthere I want to apologise because I've just realised no Trump-supporting woman (or man) has ever chosen an abortion. You're a fool!
@spunkycumfun You want to try and read lindonoy's comment about other ideas of man and water? The implication is quite clear to me. Then again, I'm not surprised by you.
Anyways.. The Dems have 4 years to perhaps, listen to the populace about what matters to them. Yes the price of groceries, fuels and homes. Not so much identity politics. Come up with a better plan than the Reds and have answers to the basic questions, like How are you going to pay for that without causing more inflation? How are you going to stop the rise of prices without coming off as a dictator? Simple stuff in theory, right?
@iwant2lickuthere
You know, you did make me wonder if I was being offensive, if what I had said could be misconstrued, and of course by someone like you, insipid, of relative intelligence, it could be. But no, what I said, like everything you and your unsavoury sort choose to twist, was not directed towards you, rather, it towards your behaviours.
You will probably live to regret your choices, but only in as much as you'll come to realise you were wrong. Sadly, it will be others who will need to live with them.
You're an obnoxious little basement dweller, please feel free to not return here, please do go and lick the toe fungus off your master's athlete's foot because that is as close to sex as you're ever likely to get.
ps - your anointed one's words about pointing weapons towards Ms Cheney kinda invalidate everything you've said here, crusty boy. Did mom forget to wipe the skiddies from your underpants by the way, cos there's an awfy stench of shite from you!
@iwant2lickuthere
Yep, insipid, already trying to justify your choices . . . go hide your racist bigotry elsewhere, it's not welcome here.
@iwant2lickuthere What you regard as simple stuff isn't at all simple. Economists and government policy-makers have long grappled how to tackle inflation. This round of inflation is generally a worldwide phenomenon caused by covid, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, increasing shipping costs, etc. Inflation in most Western countries is going down.
As it's simple to you, please can you explain (without being snide if that's possible) how Trump's promise of imposing significant tariffs will not lead to inflation? Tariffs just make imports, including essential imports, more expensive. And because other countries will undoubtedly respond in kind by imposing or increasing their tariffs, exports become more expensive and jobs may be lost.
@lindoboy100 I do owe you an apology. I should have looked at your location before I responded. Now knowing you had no vote in this, I should not have considered your opinion worthy of note. You have no dog in this fight and just have to sit in your armchair and watch. My apologies for considering you were a democrate. I know not your political affiliation there in the UK but I'm have the feeling it is quite similar to the Democrats here.
As for the rest of your rant and assumptions. You are wrong. But that's ok. If it makes you feel better to call names and hurl filth be my guest, show your true character and how All Inclusive the Left is.
@spunkycumfun I owe you an apology as well. I again failed to see your location and should have not been concerned with your opinion.
Anyways . To your question. I do not pose a 'fix" for the inflation issue. Did you see any of VP Harris' interviews? When asked How are you going to do that, her reply was either "Next Question" or "Donald Trump". She gave no answer on the how.
As for Trump's tariff, it makes it more expensive to purchase an item. So, let's use a car for example. A car built in China will cost 3X more than one built in the US, which one do you buy? If you have the money buy the one you want. If you dontA, you buy the cheaper one. Keeping the money in the US. Now yes, I know that doesn't work for everyone or every instance. We will see.
I prefer that than some bill that was basically the New Green deal but renamed the Inflation Reduction Act.
Also, I really did not like her lying about her believing the government should not tell a woman what to do with her body, when they had done just that in their administration. Not just Women but Men as well or lose their Government jobs or get kicked out of the military. And they called Trump a dictator. The hypocrisy.
@iwant2lickuthere I'm not going to accept your very insincere and rather patronising apology. In fact, you can stick it up your arse.
Clearly you are no economist. Also you seem incapable of discussing things in an intellectually logical and evidenced way. I was talking about inflation and Trump's love of tariffs. Kamala Harris isn't the answer to the question I put to you. It's like before when you accused the left of promoting violence and wanting to kill unborn children without offering a shred of evidence. You remind me of someone who lives in Mar-a-Lago.
Given that my opinion doesn't matter to you because I'm from Britain, it's very odd that you reply to me if I don't matter. I'm taking it that you won't be replying to this. But I suspect you will because that's how trolls operate.
All this reminds me of some good advice I read about dealing with trolls. Never engage with trolls because they'll just take you down to their level of stupidity and then out-stupid you.
@spunkycumfun Funny.. I was thinking the same thing. But, I will stick with Mark Twain's version. Best of luck to ya.
@iwant2lickuthere
I'd also like to invite you to shove your apology up your arse, I'm sure there's plenty of room alongside spunky's because all of your shite is clearly now coming out of your mouth.
You narrow minded bigot.
@joisygirl
They're just a bunch of idiots who cannot see the plain truth on the end of their noses. Worse, they choose not to see it.
You can argue with stupid . . .
