I'm not keen on role-play generally and sexual role-play specifically. In sexual situations, I feel too self-conscious performing a role and watching someone else perform a role is often a laughing matter. I'd sooner be myself when it comes to sex. That role is difficult for me to perform, never mind another role!
However, there was one time where I engaged in sexual role-play. It was at a BDSM-styled cottage I often mention in blog posts. I've only really engaged in RP with my kink dynamics, and even then it's within agreed upon fetishes, more so just the enhancement or full embodiment of them. After reading your thoughts, I think what I may have considered "mild roleplay" might have been more or less in "cyberfantasy" territory.
