The post was approved well after six hours of it being submitted and well over 80 posts submitted by other bloggers after my post had been approved.
The consequence of that once approved the post is buried deep down the feed of new posts and therefore largely out of view. Now it maybe that no one is interested in panto or even the drivel I blog about, but I suspect the slightly ubiquitous and probably ineffective one-line hook-me-up posts attract more views.
The site seems to be encouraging such hook-me-up posts in the way it prioritises what blog posts get reviewed first. It seems it's not first-come, first served.
Because of what happened yesterday, I've submitted this blog post to be released at a certain time because, I believe, Tier 2 and not Tier 1 review such scheduled posts. This of course means more work for Tier 2 and less work for Tier 1 which seems counter-productive to what the site intended with its review process.
