I''d have to say Aerosmith for a few good reasons as I'm sure my husband would agree.
I thought you'd go for Aerosmith's rock original.
@spunkycumfun Sorry but not sorry we are not into Rapp or anything like it.
@RavenMoon696 I'm not into most rap, but there's a bit of hip hop I like.
@spunkycumfun My husband enjoys the old Big band swing music, Jazz and most forms of rock. Me I'm a rock and roll girl but I do Like Muse and stuff like that also.
@RavenMoon696 I quite like a bit of big band swing.
@spunkycumfun Yes so does Raven, he say's it brings back memories of his youth and just give him a happy up beat feeling inside.
@RavenMoon696 My musical memories started with glam rock.
@spunkycumfun He liked Gene Kelly and Danny Kay and the swing bands as a kid in the old movies he used to watch. Singing and dancing, sad they don't make movie's like that anymore everything is turning into hack 'em up and kill people for the most part. He just told me Singing in the rain was one of his Favorite old time Movies.
Both versions are good! 🎸
They are both good.
I do like the guitar riff, but I don't like Stephen Tyler's vocals at all - so considering they're included in both versions, I voted "dislike equally". 😁
That's a very logical and reasonable response.
Not a big fan of either group. Musically, I do not have a preference; however, artistically I prefer Run etc's video for the comedic element. I thought that was delightful.
Run-D.M.C.'s video is very funny, probably made at the heyday of the MTIV era.
While they're quite similar, Run DMC's version is a bit too "rappy" for my taste.
Run-D.M.C. kept a lot of Aerosmith in the cover.
I was at the live show where Run DMC and Kid rock opened for Aerosmith. In the middle of Areosmith's set they all played Walk This Way. The arrangement was the RUN DMC version. While I like both versions equally, seeing the Run DMC version perfromed by all these bands, live was unforgettable.
I can well imagine the Run-D.M.C.'s version being played live being great. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Cannot choose...definitely a time, place and mood to enjoy each version!
Because Run-D.M.C.'s version features Aerosmith, its version is quite close to the original bar for the rapping and scratching.
I like both and appreciate the fact that it gave Aerosmith a boost. Coincidentally, the Toys in the Attic album featured Aerosmith covering an R&B song, Big 10 Inch Record, originally recorded by Bull Moose Jackson in 1952. I knew it was a cover, but I had to look up the artist.
Their cover is still very R & B.
I prefer Aerosmith, but they're not my favorite band. I saw them with KISS back in 2004. KISS opened, then we left.
Aerosmith and KISS, that's quite some line-up for a gig.
7 to 11 cover band in Erie Pa
Who is the 7 to 11 cover band in Pennsylvania's Erie?
Look them up on you tube
For me, it's Aerosmith
Though it's not one of my favorite bands.
It seems you're a classic rocker!
@spunkycumfun More or less, enjoy just about all kinds of music from ABBA to ZZ Top.
@RUmytranny I love Abba, but I'm a European disco nut!
@spunkycumfun I love Rock 'N Roll, but I was also a big Disco fan. ELO, Moody Blues, Beatles, anything with lots of harmony.
@RUmytranny Late 1970s/early 1980s disco is my thing, especially Chic.
@spunkycumfun Good Times . . .
@RUmytranny That's a good one. Le Freak is my favourite. Nile Rodgers is a great guitarist and now a great producer.
Great song and I did vote I prefer Aerosmith's version myself. And it's in my music library as well. Thanks for sharing this great song with us.
I hope you enjoy a relaxing Sunday..
I think Aerosmith may win this vote.
99.9% of the time, I will always prefer and original than a cover. there are a few exceptions but not this one
I'm not really a rocker so Run-D.M.C. gets my vote.
