This post, with poll, is about queening chairs as a sexual practice. This piece of BDSM furniture is as a chair designed for face-sitting, which is sometimes called kinging or queening. The chair is particularly widely used for femdom (female domination) purposes in which a dominatrix sits on the partly-seated chair with a submissive, usually male, sitting under her seat.
A queening chair is also called a face-sitting chair or a queening stool. A special type of queening chair is a smotherbox, also known as a smothering box, in which the neck of the person under the seat is restrained.
The history of the queening chair, according to Julia Sex on the Roomsacred website, can be traced well back in history. In medieval Europe, aristocratic ladies would often use such a chair to be orally pleasured by their pages while their husbands were away. In the courts of ancient China, members of female royalty would sometimes employ male slaves for their oral pleasure. And in feudal Japan, brothels would have queening chairs for the paying clientele to orally pleasure prostitutes.
Queening chairs, or at least non-flimsy ones, are expensive to buy. For example, Roomsacred's black queening chair, with a "Heavy Duty Facesitting Smotherbox" and an "Adjustable Neck Splint For Adult BDSM Femdom", can be yours for $425.

I've used a queening chair, though strictly speaking it was a smotherbox, in a dungeon in a BDSM-styled cottage. I've only ever been sat on. It was a good experience though I was a little uncomfortable, more psychologically than physically, being restrained. I'd do it again though I wouldn't buy a queening chair. What would guests visiting to my home think of such a chair?!

I am a gentleman and have offered my seat to women on busy transit. That is the only chair I would care to offer a woman - or anyone. BDSM, just not my thing.

I've offered my seat on a busy tube/bus/train to an elderly person, a pregnant woman and a disabled person. I'm going to worry when someone says to me that I can have their seat. By the way, I'm not too proud to turn the offer down!

I've had several ladies "sit on my face" but only one had a stool she specifically used for the activity.

Over 150 people voted in the poll about sexual fetishes on my FANCY A FETISH? blog post. However, this figure is a significant under-estimate because I made a mistake in designing the poll. It's possible to to not tick any of the poll options if you don't have a fetish and you haven't been fetishised over. These non-tickers, like myself, won't be included as votes cast in the poll. I should have included 'I don't have a fetish' and 'I've never been fetishised over' as poll options. Mea culpa!
Of those who had at least ticked one box, well over half have a fetish with no one expressing unhappiness at their fetish. In a better designed poll, that figure is very likely to be significantly lower as those without a fetish would have been counted.
The most common fetishes amongst all those who have a fetish are: stockings/pantyhose/tights/garters/suspenders (83 per cent), skirts/dresses (61 per cent), underwear (51 per cent), legs (36 per cent), footwear (35 per cent), body fluids (30 per cent), feet/toes (30 per cent), leather (28 per cent), tattoos (24 per cent), hair (19 per cent), muscles (19 per cent), and jewellery/jewelry (16 per cent).
For men, the top six fetishes are: stockings/pantyhose/tights/garters/suspenders (95 per cent), underwear (67 per cent), skirts/dresses (65 per cent), legs (40 per cent), body fluids (38 per cent), and feet/toes (35 per cent).
And for women, the top six fetishes are: leather (28 per cent), muscles (28 per cent), stockings/pantyhose/tights/garters/suspenders (28 per cent), tattoos (28 per cent), body fluids (22 per cent), and skirts/dresses (22 per cent).
Because of the flawed poll design, I don't know how many people visiting the poll who didn't have any fetishes.
Likewise, I don't know how many people who haven't been fetishised over. However, of those who have been fetishised over, most liked the experience.
The poll isn't at all representative of either the wider membership here or even the wider population. The poll is just reflective of those who responded.
