On my Knees

Kneeling at your feet,
not because I am in defeat.
It is a place I long to be,
The tears I’ve shed could fill the sea.
A plethora of thoughts fill my head.
Some fill my heart others make my face red.
To worship you…
It’s all I wish to do.
For you I am shameless.
Under your mystique my heart is blameless.
Too long since I have drunk from your cup,
And palaver with you, from my knees looking up.
Whispers of your touch,
Makes the longing almost too much.
The journey too long between.
In your heart is where I am seen.
My mind and body aches, what do I do?
Your sound, warmth, taste… all that is you.
As I walk my fingertips I tease,
On the velvety smooth petals they glide with ease.
Beds of roses line my path.
Their beauty enough to bring Aphrodite’s wrath.
Their aroma an aphrodisiac.
My body is ready, you beneath me is what I lack.
Other travelers along the way,
Theirs storms were harsh I’ve bent and swayed.
Despite them I keep my step, I long for your voice.
In your presence I’ll rejoice.
You are the key, I am the lock.
In my chest it’s as though I carry a rock.
You have the dynamite,
To split it just right.
The lock that hides the treasure within,
To you will be given.
It’s a gift that has been held for you alone,
It seems to the stars I have flown.
Will you do that?
Will you wear that hat?
In my heart will be your new home.
Where you are always free to roam.
My face transforms with a smile,
You ARE worth every mile.
Yes you my key bringer.
Only you My Gunslinger.
Always for you.

Thank you. It depends on how an idea strikes me. Sometimes like a match, sometimes a slow burn. My need/want for my person.

@FabianoTirrozi both are equally important. They reinforce each other. To me anyway.
@Jenniejenjen I fully understand this : for me the words, their sound, their resonance, are the essential gas necessary to boost our physical need /want. Are your needs sporadic and random or omnipresent in your daily life?
