I will share a thought about UK Healthcare. Two things. First I assume tgat yiu have to have a primary health cae provider. I would imagine that if you move from one place to another it is like in Canada. When you search for a new provider in your new location . All of the great or good ones practuces are full. So you have to settle for one of the sub par ones. Not good. Secondly is the term Healthcare . I would much prefer health treatment. I will explain. This story was shared by a guy that emigrated to the US. Lived in upper New Hampshire a place that is very sparsely populated. Small hospital. A friend from the UK came for a visit. She had suffered for 10 years from an ailment that had caused her to go to the doctor almost monthly in the UK. She would recieve a comforting talk from the doctor and be sent home with basically a very strong Tylenol. Suring her visit it flaired up again. She went to a rural hospital here in the States. They ran tests and she was suffering from Gout. They perscribed her meds and has not had a problem since. For 10 years she got Care. They were caring. But not health treatment. It took a small hospital in the rural parts of the US to finally help her condition and life . The UK health system just let her suffer. I will grant you that the bill for treatment in the US was higher. But how much was spent on all of those visits over 10 years. So the question is . Is socialized medicine good and or cheap. Visits are free I assume but as we all know nothing is free. The money has to come from the taxpayer. And is govt. The best middleman to handle our money efficiently? My vote is provably not.
